Default Looking 4 a great running beater / Help

So, I've been searching for a good reliable beater as a DD. No luck so far, most all have major issues like blown head gaskets and such. Looked at an 89k S10 4.3 blazer yestarday....ahg the tranny wasn't happy. Nopperz on that one. If any of ya'll know of something out there, let me know. The berd needs to cease and desist daily duty.

That's a sweet deal. Looks like i'm getting the Blazer after all ( i hope ) was just a bad shift solenoid in the tranny. We'll see how it goes. Thanks for the reply, we'll see.

good luck man. id reconsider it. the whole reason i even bought this car is because my 03 s10 with a 4.3 2wd, was getting around 17mpg in town and 21-22 on the freeway. gas was killing me. my vette does better on the freeway then it did.

$20 pretty much lasts me all week going to work in that thing. Vette is about $50 in 3-4 days depending on how heavy of a foot (CR is 11.75:1 so I run the non ethanol at 4.65-4.70 a gallon.)
Im picking up a rsx type s on wed for a DD so Im just trying to free up some extra money. Plus this will go towards my RPM level V trans in spring time
