Boys,

The track has been good lately. Last Friday, there were maybe 10 cars running.....they closed early.
So where were you all?

Sat maybe 30 cars....maybe?
Where were you all?

On the dyno figuring out what you are putt'n down.....man?
So you can say what you should run....if you ever go to the track?

Season is winding down, the good air is coming! Was 600ft on Friday, you missed it.

Ron

I know Tim swapped cams because the first one was waaaay out of spec, like 7 degrees of advance ground into it. I think he's currently on the road right now but I'm sure it's going back on the dyno for a final tune shortly and then he'll be out to play. Can't speak for anyone else though.

My car's been down since 2010 and the next time I run at PIR will probably be in my T56 converted Tahoe lol....

Sure would like to see a certain white Camaro run some numbers also.....

Mike

P.S. Nice red light lol....

This. If I wanted a drag/track car I wouldn't have chosen a Vette either....especially not a 6 speed one.

Went to Woodburn once this year just to see about where it was on motor.

Speaking of T$ he like dropped off the planet, I messaged as I wanted to run him and his brother in the Civic that beat him. That was like two weeks ago. I want to run Salvage too but his car has been down longer than Jenna Jameson.

My cars body/paint is in too good of shape to beat on it at the track. Plus I don't really care for drag racing. Tried it a couple times and it didn't do anything for me. I like going on cruises/car shows and doing the occasional roll race.

I drove right past PIR Sat. night.....was sooooo tempted to make a few passes, but was on the way to Vancouver to pick up a b-day present for the kiddo, and sans helmet. It looked dead-quiet. Would have loved to have ran...but no time.

I will be seeing the track MANY times next season...too much going on with builds/upgrades for both cars right now to do much of anything at the moment, but I'll be there next year for sure. Was actually hoping to be there THIS year, but money/time was pouring into the shop to get up and going....just about finished, finally.

Anyway....see ya next season, Ron!

How is racing at the track harder on the body/paint?

From the body flexing. My car was straight as an arrow along the panels before I ran it. Paint wise, you never know what can happen such as burnouts, other cars kicking up debris. My car got war wounds both body and paint after I ran it at PIR.

Edit...maybe I should say ripples instead of dents. Either way, the track is hard on cars. You of all people can relate to that mike. Beating on my car isn't something I care to do.

I would however like to come watch you run before Winter sets in. Zlicious and I have been talking about heading out. When do you plan on running again?

What kind of damage? Like ripples in the actual sheet metal or just alignment issues between two different panels?

It would just be nice to see some cars in the lanes, esp LS powered. Especially pewter C5's......

I will run one of the cars on Sat....Friday is going to be pretty hot....

In fact, since the race season is almost over, I'll go every decent night. Although I'll be in Canada one of those weekends dyno tuning the C5.

Sounds like the 28th might be a grunge match...watch it rain.
