Our Section Sucks Ass!!!!!

not too big of a crowd there. the people who were, looked at me really funny when they saw me walking down to the water.
i jumped in. it hurt like hell. turns out the water temp is 44* today. yikes.
fun drive though. i'll do it again if someone else wants to cruise over there

so on monday they're going to remove the metal (as the fusions are pretty well solid now)
not sure what the recovery will be like, but the last two were pretty awful. this surgeon says i'll be able to walk the day after. i hope he's right.
i'm healthy otherwise. just bad luck with my spine. i told him i want to get back to skydiving and he said i should just try something else, "like wrestling bears or something less dangerous"

the hip grafts add pain and cause some loss of balance, so i can't really do squats and lunges at the gym anymore. well i can, but it hurts like **** and i know i shouldn't.
i'd advise against getting a fusion done. there seems to be a lot of other medical options available now. don't dare go into chiropractors for their quackery either. find a decent modern spine expert and get a real opinion for the solution for that specific patient/injury
edit: also, i used to enjoy playing basketball often. being only 5'11", i could easily drop step and dunk before the surgery. now that's never going to happen again
swimming feels weird, due to the restricted motion. walking/jogging are still easy to do, but it's not like i'm out doing marathons or anything. i retain my upper body strength and keep my bench around 250 while still being pretty slim
I mean, all this place offers is a forum for car guys, without; seeing what people eat, or their stupid vacation pics to exotic Multnomah falls, or hearing when they got home, or went grocery shopping, or got a flat tire, or got attacked by a vicious parakeet, or the drama associated with all the 'queens' out there.
But hey, that's just my take on it all. I'm old school though. Rant over,,, again.
