Pretty good at pulling the trans!
Finally I got everything assembled and bled only to find a nice drip of clear stuff coming from between the bell housing and the trans...****!
Before I had my exhaust and drive shaft back on I thought about bleeding the system but I said nah i'll do it last, Bad idea I guess.
Good news is the car drives great after the changes and the trans shifts awesome. Hopefully I don't blow the new slave since i cant figure out what happened to the old one (only 5000k miles).
My guess is I screwed up a seal when I was measuring for the slave shim (didn't need one)
I have a Tick master so it pushes a little more fluid , but its worked fine adjusted the way it is before the trans was pulled.
Any thoughts?
Turns out to be poor attention to detail on my part. In my rush to get the Transmission stuffed back in I didnt put my hardline in its clamp somehow during the fight to get it in the car I must have pushed it down loosening the fitting. Oh well it's back together except for the exhaust.
Tick has an adjustment procedure to help eliminate over extending the slave. Mine is adjusted just so it engages the gears cleanly.
In other news , What tires are you running on your Nova? I'm still waiting for them to start shipping the ET street r's!
