Default 1977 Camaro as a daily driver..

VW bought back my car in April. I've been riding the bus since. It wouldn't be too bad if the the TOMB's would stop touching me.

My dad is wanting to give me his '77 Camaro 4 speed with a 350 small block V8. He said the badges have been removed, so he's not sure if it's an SS or a Rally. He has a theory though based on the gauges.

Is this something I could use as a daily driver until I'm able to get what I want?

You can pretty much daily whatever you want. The 77 Camaro never had an SS model, it's either a Sport Coupe, Type LT, or Z28. More than likely just a Sport Coupe model. Do the usual maintenance on it (tune up) and drive it. Should be fine for a bit until you get what you want.

Thankyou sir! Your advice is much appreciated. Sounds like I'll be making a trip to P-Town this weekend to pick it up.

He has it at Schwabs, putting on 295/50/15 front and 245/60/14 back with some Crager steel wheels. 15x10 front and 7'1/2x14 back. Not sure how that will look but I guess beggers can't be choosers!

I've been told it's a gas guzzler..
