Can anyone recommend a machine shop in Bellingham
I am looking for a machine shop in Bellingham WA. I was talking to a shop in Mount Vernon but they have no experience in LS engines. I want to get my LQ9 checked out. I talked in detail with the one on Mount Vernon and he admitted to never working on an LS block and heads. I have read a few threads that say Do not take your engine to a machine shop with no experience in LS engine.

I did call a place in Sedro Woolley, Custom engine & machine. Dave was polite and said you pay me and I am your slave! I dropped my heads off today and looked around the shop. I will be taken my block and rotating assembly there in a few weeks.

Update,
After looking some more I found the place the will be doing my engine work.
Shark racing engines in Sedro Woolley WA.

I went there and spoke to the owner, talked out using the dec plates and such. Price quotes were very reasonable. Should be under or around 200 for the bore and hone with deck plates, under or around 200 for balancing the rototing assembly. Cleaning and cam bearing a little extra.

Just wondering if you ever ended up having the work done my shark racing engines. I have a 6.0 block I need bored and was thinking about running it down to them.
A final update would be awesome!

I had my work done at shark racing engines and the motor went together with out a problem. Being in the sprint car engine business I waited 6 months to get my engine done. Price was awesome but I was not given a spec sheet. They did an excellent job but its not a run of the mill machine shop.
I have since had work done at Browns automachine in Marysville. They did a valve job and installed some BTR dual springs. If he's still open I want to have an LS2 gone over and worked. He doesnt have a store front but a shop at his house.

Awesome thanks for the response. I found auto truck service (ats) in Everett. They are familiar with the ls engines and have a set of torque plates they use when they bore.

Thanks for the recommendation of ATS in everett. I spoke to Jeremy on the phone yesterday, seems knowledgeable on ls's, I think I'll be taking a lq4 6.0 there once my 408ci stroker rotating assembly arrives from Texasspeed, I'm also keeping my ear to the ground for a place to possibly get a set of 243 heads cnc ported
