New Radiator?

New Radiator? Now that my SLP radiator has officially been classified as junk, I have been looking for a replacement. There are 3 other mfrs that I've found. Be-Cool, LG & AFCO. Boyce told me about a 4th, Ron Davis, tho they don't list one for our cars, but they might make one, I haven't called.
Anyway, the Be-Cool seems to be the best for me. It bolts right up (with minor bending of the bottom mounting flange). It has a tranny cooler (AFCO does not, no word back from LG on that). It is all aluminum, like all of these, so it IS repairable (unlike the stock & SLP ones). And it's priced lower - ONLY $700.
For $800 I can get the polished version.

Why not install a Meizer pump with the stock radiator and control the temp with the fans? Just a thought.
For ORR that prob would not work but for the track that would be fine, no? Thread Starter

For drag racing that might be fine. For ORR it doesn't work. I'm not sure if anyone has put that hi-flow pump behind the stock low-flow radiator. It would be like having stock exhaust on a supercharged motor.
And at the moment I NEED a radiator, I don't need a water pump. And I still need other stuff too, like tranny work & a roll cage. So I am buying what I need.
I know this is a concept that must be hard to for you grasp Mr Bling King.....for you it's all about wanting! Who NEEDS a polished driveshaft?

I say you're on the right track with the Be Cool Radiator... I mentioned your radiator issues last night when I was BSing over at Shaun's shop and he has a lot of experience with the Be Cool radiators in other cars (not LS1s) but really thinks very highly of their product... I know Be Cool's been in the business for a long time and have a good rep, so that would probably be the best route for the replacement.
And of course, you HAVE to get the polished one...
