Got the car back!
Shaun got done with my big long list of installs that I gave him, and he did a GREAT job with everything!
The biggest thing I noticed was just how still the engine is now with poly motor mounts... my lord, I knew my engine was rockin and rollin before, but I guess I got used to it. I kid you not, the engine is literally as still as it was stock, only with the lumpity-lump of my cam instead of the stock sound. You can also tell a big difference with the mounts while driving... the front end of the car feels 100% tighter than it did before. I'm sure I can feel a greater difference with how tight the front end feels with the motor mounts than I did with any of my previous front end suspension/chassis mods.
Also, my exhaust is now stock still and isn't bouncing all over the place because of engine movement. I don't know how many of you guys have seen my exhaust pipes in the rear, but they used to bounce up and down a great deal, and the y-pipe used to slap on the underside of the car every once in a while. Also, my shifter used to bounce around too, and now that is stock still (just some vibration in it instead of actual movement) None of those things happen anymore... also all of the dash/trim rattles I was developing after my cam install are all gone now.
At this point I would definitely recommend doing motor mounts to anyone with a lumpy cam... and I'd also recommend the poly transmission mount for M6 cars as well. I now have driver's and passenger's side poly motor mounts, plus the poly trans mount, and everything is extremely tight...
I also had the Texas Speed catted y-pipe installed, and it is a much better quality piece than the Pacesetter off-road pipe I had on there before. The only bad thing about it is they made it without consideration for driveshaft loops like the BMR one I have on my car. So Shaun ended up having to modify the driveshaft loop to make the y-pipe fit properly.
Also, he noticed that my Moser 12 bolt is making my torque arm make contact with the driveshaft tunnel... so he said I'll need an adjustable panhard rod since I'm using a larger than stock rear end. So something to consider for anyone who has or is getting a larger rear end but doesn't have the adjustable panhard yet.
In addition to those things, Shaun fixed my leaking front cover seal, fixed a leaking valve cover, replaced the pinion & axle bearings in the rear end, fixed the leaking seals in the rear end, completely removed the AIR pump, bled the brakes, changed the spark plugs, and replaced my o2 sensors.
Overall, I'd recommend Shaun's work to anyone... he did a great job and did it for a very fair price.

Yep, I'll be throwing some more work to Shaun a little later... probably a month or two before drag race season starts up again. Need a new clutch, some 4.30 gears, and probably going to have him strengthen the internals of the tranny.
I think this year I'm gonna go ahead and shift without lifting since I won't have to worry about drivetrain breakage so much... being afraid of things breaking was making me be conservative at the track. Hopefully I'll have the drivetrain to go completely all out next year...
No, I'll be the one trying to keep up once Mark gets a converter and his tranny worked over... especially if he adds heads.
That's when I'll have to go back to Shaun and have him strap on the giggle juice...

jason, you should do nitrous, it is a total blast with our cams. shifting without lifting will only wear on the syncros, i did it all last year, on both the strip and street and the tranny is still going strong, plus plenty of launchs at 5k or above
I was also looking to beef up the tranny but still might do to a 400 or a glide, got both just don't which one to build

I'd like to get nitrous before the drag season starts again... but we'll see. Don't know if it'll be in the budget this time around. This is what I got planned right now:
New Clutch
stronger tranny
stronger driveshaft
4.30 gears
skinnies up front
If I decide on nitrous, I have to not only buy a nitrous kit, but then I have to buy all the accessories to go with it... window switch, WOT switch, remote bottle opener, nitrous gauge, fuel pressure gauge, etc. Not to mention, a roll bar, racing seats, and five point harness. Going faster gets expensive quick!

I went to see Shaun today and dropped off some $$ for the suspension parts that Shaun recommend I get.Torque arm,LCAs,panhard rod, girdle, and a poly trans mount. As soon as they get the parts I'm taking the T/A to S&M to have Shaun do the work.
Thanks for the information guys.

yeah I know... we're always right there within a couple of tenths of each other.
I'm thinking with the mods planned we both should get into the 11s next race season... how deep into the 11s is the question. I thought I would be happy when I saw the 12 second time slip for the first time... I think it took all of 5 seconds for me to stop thinking about how cool the 12 second slip was and to start thinking of ways to get an 11 second time slip.

i Here you mark, It does start to get expensive quick, cage, fire jacket, more nitrous ****, trans blanket, the list goes on and on. i would like to see if we can set up a track day somewhere mybee ealier than the season starts. Anybody Have any ideas. Also anyone know of someplace close by to get race gas?
I knew you guys would be happy with Shaun and thats why I brought him to this board!
Their Machinist made a 750hp 350 N/A.....
If you guys are interested in a group "Port Job" I'm sure I can swing a nice deal for ya. Probably half of what any other place would charge and you would have the piece of mind that it would be done by a Chevy High performance machinist.

Great deal Man!
Sounds like you got what you were looking for!
BTW it take a little more then the Adjustable pan hard bar to keep the rear end from hitting

Shaun called me for a follow up the other day, and he mentioned that he's thankful for all the LS1Techers who've been calling him up... I guess business is booming in part because of us.
