I have never heard one sound like a farm truck. My TA did without the cats. The big reason they sound different than the fbody is that its a true dual system. So, I guess I will have the best looking farm truck around!!!

No doubt about that Eric!!!

I would think a Vette's sound may be a little harsher / crisper because the pipes are shorter. But you might be right, the h-pipe (x-pipe...whatever) could add to that.

And if farm trucks were ANYTHING like that, I'd still be in Nebraska.

Hmm I like the way the Z06 gurgles and barks I'm looking forward to getting rid of the cats so it will really talk to me. I think the Z06 stock exaust is one of the best STOCK exausts around in the sound department. I really just hope that headers and know cats just make it deeper and louder.

I agree with your thoughts, Bobby. I was not planning on changing the TI exhaust because it does have that exotic sound. That was until I heard about GMMG yesterday. I will wait to see what it looks like and how it sounds before I do anything.

Its just hard for me to justify changing it out, it would have to be a cat back that sounded completely badass and even then I probably wouldn't do it. The $$ value you may get a couple of horses and you may not.

Flip side of that is your Ti exaust is worth at least 450 which is a nice chunk of change to offset the cost of a new cat back. Don't think I haven't thought of keeping cats and basically trading my exaust for a loud abnoxious Stinger

My car is really loud, and really raspy with the cutout open.. It's not that I like the sound of it because of the sound, but I like the sound of it, because you can literally scare people by tapping the gas so the car "barks" . And at redline with the windows rolled up at the track your ears just about start to bleed..

GMMG on a Corvette, I can only imagine how awesome that must sound. I can't wait until the spring when we all get together again and show off our new mods

Haha reminds me in high school I had a built 350 in a 71 chevy stepside lowrider. It needed Paint Really bad but had sweet Centerline Bullits and what I thought at the time was a hot 350 with edelbrock go fast parts. Had Hooker longtubes with those "header mufflers" so you'd crawl to a stop light and it would be relatively quiet. Then when people walked by I'd scare the **** out of them great fun when you 17 years old People in my neighborhood stopped using there alarm clocks cause I had to warm the truck up every morning at 4:00am to go work. I got a real exaust for it and quieted down, I actually had neighbors COMPLAIN that I didn't wake them up!!!

GULP....now I've done it!

C'mon down to Hooters & I'll buy you a beer & you can get one of them girls to knock my off my barstool again.

I think I can get you a C5 SLP Loudmouth exhaust with less than 400 miles on it for $300 shipped.
