Default Your tune is ready Steve

Well, I think so anyway. I took my tune, restored the stock injector settings, fixed the idle, deleted the EGR & AIR (which mostly consists of turning off the DTCs) & reset the rev limiter to 6k (mine is set at 6500). I don't think I can load my tune into your car, but I will at least have this to cut-n-paste from.

So, when we figure out why the PC doesn't connect to your car, you should be ready to rock n roll once we get the your finished. My list shows valve springs & LS6 intake still to go. Plus putting all the stuff back on (water pump, radiator, etc). Correct?

Of course you'll still have to drive it to the exhaust shop with open headers to get the i-pipe cut!

Very Cool,

I may just leave those headers open, that would certaintly attract attention pulling into the car shows. Yeah you got the list pretty much nailed, maybe next session we can finish the pulley, swap the springs and maybe the intake.
I'm waiting for the T.B.. MAF ends, FRC, Air Lid and need to do some research next week on polishing the water pump. Anyways I'm getting tried of sanding aluminum looking forward to starting her up.

BTW I was getting the Christmas decorations down That EGR & Air Pump filled an entire 17 Gallon tote.

You guys have fun at Hooters, The boys and I are loading up the bikes to head down to Woodland to slug it out in the mud.

Hey, when can I pop over to do some quick troubleshooting of your PCM? We need to get that figured out so we can tune all your mods in. Shouldn't take more than about 15 minutes.....provided you charged your battery. I can bring my charger.

Hope you have / had fun in the mud bogs OLD MAN!

Verify PCM version numbers? I plead ignorance. The quick answer is no. I can't get it to connect to Steve's car. But what does this mean / require / do?

HPT does this automatically from what I can tell. If the numbers do not jive then access is denied. It has a little line at the bottom of the screen that shows it going through the motions whenever you go to read/write the PCM. Also look at the pop up when you go to edit a file. The info on the car that the stock tune came from is always embedded within the file. It compares that vin with the car's PCM to verify same make and model year. That's why version 1.4 would not allow me to do my Z even though it was an 02. Different vins.

OK, so this is how it limits you to the year of car. Once I get it to talk to his car, I guess I'll know. Thanks Eric.

Mark,

I need to make trips to Portland & Spokane this week, I'm gonna try and do both those runs early in the week so any time after Thursday is good. My office is ten minutes from the house and any time after 3:00 PM works. Saturday is also wide open. On the tune did you adjust for the 4:11 gears?
I also change my tire and rims sizes. Front 245 40 18, rear 275 35 18 if that matters.

Yeah, mine has the 4.11s in it, and tires are easy to adjust for. I'll try to figure out when I can swing down. What about the battery charger?

Or I can bring my charger. That would give us time to install the software on your PC.
