What do you mean, are you saying there is a way to get them to approve me? They told me no way have a nice day. I was turned down via on line and on the phone. I'm 37 yoa, never had a claim/accident & no tickets. My car is not driven much either.

I went though an agent that specializes in collector cars & hot rods. Maybe they know a different way to present the application. I have their phone number at my office, I'll post the phone number Monday.

I got a note back from the folks at ORR.com. They said I should say I need insurance for a RALLY, not a race. Since this is a race against the clock, not an all-out top-speed event with everyone passing each other, it makes a difference. I will give your place a call Steve. Thanks for the #.

yeah, sounds like thats what you all would say...

I just picked up Grundy for the lowly LT1 last week. They went high due to the yellow, red and white lettering on the dash and doors. Whatever. It was $349 for the year. USAA had it about $180 more a year at book which doesn't touch a friggin burnt out bulb!

Now if a rat bastard™ decides to chew the harness off I don't care...much...at least I won't take the SPAS12 to hunt it down.

add on: I do know every insurance company out there had big meetings about racing and the cars they are insuring. Considering its gotten to be big again (gee, that only took 25 years) and ricers are trying the game they aren't quite sure what to offer and who to drop. Most will tell you to try Grundy though *some* are considering specific coverage for "occasional supervised racing at sanctioned locations".
