Predicting snow in Seattle

Predicting snow in Seattle Ok I get this in my email this morning:
I got to thinking this morning that, ironically, predicting snow in Seattle is a lot like driving in it. You glide along, thinking you're on the right track, but then you hit an icy patch, and you start to veer a little bit. And then you correct it and think you're heading straight again, only to start drifting the other way...
And then low pressures form offshore, and it's like you've just decided you need to scale Queen Anne Hill
Actually, for the most part, our forecast is still on track, with just some minor tweaks as Mother Nature tosses a few wiggles our way.

10 bucks says the greater seattle area gets no snow. It's all hype and tv ratings. That's been the biggest news story going on a week now. I hate our local news people. Danger Jim Foreman from king5 is in Bellingham at 1am last night. "Now to our live feed with Danger Jim!!" "Yes, it is indeed snowing here in Bellingham! We've got over an inch of new snow in the last 3 hours. Back to you Kathy!"

Always so much fun when it does snow there. Used to live off Fire Trail Rd. Even the plows slid off of it. We had a couple of inches here in Greybull last Tues. I know there will be more and it will stay around till late Mar or Apr. Lowest temp so far has been -22F.

Yea, I was pretty suprised to wake up and see about an inch of snow on the ground. It is supposed to be gone by this afternoon though. 
The weather forcasters in Seattle have it made. Be wrong all the time and still make big $$$$.

LOL I woke up this morning (5am) because I had to be at work by 7am, saw a trace of snow on the ground & woke up my husband told him he was driving me in to work again today. He drove me in yesterday because I paniced on the ice we had out here.
Remember guys 4x4 doesnt do you anything on ICE!!!!

It's funny how people think this is so much snow. I walked outside today and some kids were sledding on the road, (Half snow half pavement) And they told me there was so much snow out you have to come try this. I bet they wouldnt know what to do if they lived there I came from. They would be waste high in snow. We got almost 2 feet of snow and it's still coming down. (Battle mountain, Nevada)

As for the weather, looking at what they are saying about Tuesday nite I get a little concerned (cold air from Canada, meeting with moisture from the Pacific, forming a convergence zone in Shohomish county). Especially since they are not talking about it amounting to much......
