Default Drive Shaft Loop

I want to get some input from you guys about which DSL I should go with. I don't want to spend a ton of money but will need to have one for racing this year. I do have bolt on SLP SFC's if that makes a difference, cause they bolt up to the same place. Thanks for your input.

Since you have the SLP SFCs, I'd just stick with an SLP loop... pretty much guaranteed to work with their own products. Plus it's the same price as all the others (around the $100 mark).

I am getting the slp bolt in sfc's this year and was wondering how it would all bolt together at the DSL mount point.

For warning.... Some drive shaft loops are not located in the correct spot. I've known a few people that had SLP or Spohn and it did not meet NHRA specifications on its location. The loop must be with in 6 inches of the front yoke behind the tranny.

I haven't received my 2005 rule book yet. And I've thrown away my old ones. When I get my new one, I would be more than happy to post up. I know I was hassled about this last year near the end of the season, yet the loop has been there for 3 years.

The Jegster loop works too. It's less than $40 shipped and sits where it should be according to NHRA rules. No need for $100 driveshaft loop.

I have used a few loops, the BEST one I have used is the one from Jegs. It has the best fit, it costs the least, and it weighs the least. Thats the only one I buy. And the clearance is the best for any exhaust.

Thanks for all your input. And thanks Ryan. I ended up buying the one from Jegs and it just arrived. Can't wait to get it installed. It was only 60.00. Looks like it should be a pretty simple install. But thats what I said about my headers too.

Simple....drop the drive shaft, slide it on, bolt it in place. Note - it IS directional. It only fits one way....with the loop forward of the bolts as I recall. Confirmed, just looked. Loop in front of the bolt holes & offset to the pass side.

Thanks Mark, This one says I don't even have to drop the driveshaft. Bolts on around it. Might take care of that today.

yeah, I wish I had gotten a two piece unit like that... the BMR did not fit with the TSP catted y-pipe. But that's ok... it fits now. It's a wonder what a grinder and a few locking washers will do.
