Fire Jacket Needed?

So anyone know at what point a fire jacket is required? I know the roll bar & harness isn't necessary until you reach 11.5, but is the fire jacket still required for running 11.99 or lower?

I believe the fire jacket is required at 11.5. I haven't got my new rule book yet, so I'm not 100% sure.

I thought the fire jacket used to be required at the same point a cage was (11.99). I need to join the NHRA again so I can have a rule book.....

yes it is required at 11.99, sfi spec 3.1/3.5. They are pretty cheap in summit. I just bought a rci 3.1 from them and it was like 80 bucks. i could bring mine to the dyno sat jason so you could see the size.

Note: 2005 Rules. Short answer is that Roll Bar and coat are needed 11.99 or faster...

Go down to the Corvette & High performance swapmeet & go in to the main building (where all the car clubs are at) & walk over to Bremerton raceways table they should be $10 (i mean for the rule book)
