Default Cousin just picked up a 99 Z vert.

My cousin ray just picked up a 1999 Z28 vert. After coming in town and seeing my car a few times and some your guys cars he decided he wanted one. He's NOOOOOOO stranger to brutally fast cars. Hes had some of the fastest street driven cars I have ever been around. All of them 10 seconds or better. His 63 nova II went 10.4 with no blower belt and no bottle. And his 56 vette has made it into the 9's.

hes going to be coming in town this weekend so if anyone is planning on any mod work let me know. He would like to show up and watch just to see what makes these motors tick.

He's local to Boise ID, so some of you guys might want to get in touch with him.

I don't think my stuff will be in by then. I would love to show him the workings of a 99 LS1. And a convertible too? Tell him his first mod needs to be a cage if he plans to take it to the track or they won't even let him on.

He doesnt plan on going wild with this one. He just wants to do a few bolt ons to it and continue to use it as a nice daily driver.

Funny how so many of us say that. I ddin't even make the deal on the GTO before the first mod was sealed in as part of the deal. As a wise man once said on here, "It's a disease" or was that "A pathological addiction"? I forget.

I'm sure your cuz could fill his trunk with parts if he wants to get started Boyce. LS6 intake, after market y-pipe, lid, stall, wheels.....**** I can think of a ton of stuff to do that is most likely available from your buds.

He is going to do all the basic bolt ons that wont require any tuning. Springs and new tires are kind of a given though. He just doesnt want to start getting inside the motor.

He doest want to do anything that will require tuning. So he has thrown out the cam swap idea. Boise also doesnt have any resources for tuning. There is one place but the guy that does the tuning I would trust with my sons power wheels.

I am Driving my Brother inlaws 99Vert and at idle the damn trims are -9.6. No tuning there eh?
