I am still working weekends for another week or so. (by the way I had a job interview at Autozone today went pretty well) Plus even if I had the weekend off my back up race car (Dans 95) came up with a water leak somewhere today while I drove it so its down until we can find it.

I don't know if I will be free or not... my GF is leaving for Mexico next week, and I'm sure she will want me to spend some time with her..

Although, personally... I'd rather be racing.

My advice, be sure to get there when the gates are open to start running early... once it gets to be around 11am or so, the street legal line is LOOOOONNNNGGGG. TONS of ricers there revving their engines making a ton of noise to go along with their slow *** time slips.

I was very glad I race on ET Streets as I got to line up with the drag slick cars instead of street legal... the line is MUCH shorter if you do that.

Yeah, I always show up before the gates open. Last time I was there, though, they had a "pro bracket" line... and I picked that one. You only have to run 13.99 to get in there. Keeps you away from the retard ricers and you get more runs.

Is that the trick? I know Ellis was running in the "slicks" group, but I wasn't sure what the requirements where for that bunch.

When I went through tech, the guy looked at my tires and said "This line is for street tires, and I know those are technically DOT, but they're also counted as slicks... so if you want to race with the drag tire group, go right ahead. You'll get more runs that way..."

Yhea i second that, if they give you the opertunity race in the slick lanes, you will get alot more runs in. I got 11 runs in the slick lane, and my buddy was in the street tire lane, and he only got 4 runs in.

Yeah I guess I could have also raced in the slicks line! Bummer, I didn't know drag radials counted. I got 4 runs, but I probably could have gotten 6 if I was always in the line, it just got incredibly long after awhile! Plus I was on empty by my 4th run..

I doubt I'll be going to race waiting for my trans mount to get here.
