Default UPS Fails me again....

Well, my Valve Covers were sent Wed second day air, and they made it as far as Seattle this morning. But there they sit....waiting....won't get here til Monday! I have them doing a search right now. If they can find the box I am going to drive to Seattle to get them.

I have the coil packs off, the red fuel rail on, was taking the stock covers off, just waiting for the new covers....and then the phone rings.

According to the call I just got, they were loaded on a truck that will go to Arlington Monday. WTF is it about "due Friday" that they don't get? Imean, if there is a 50% chance they won't get there until Monday, do they tell you that? No. But they sure as Hell take your friggin $ & throw the box down the chute. This is SO irritating! So much for my engine looking good for the car show. I wonder how they would feel about me telling them their next plane is going to be delivered 3 days late because some piece of papwerwork got to me 10 minutes late.....BASTARDS!!!

They deliver on Saturday - demand it be pulled and sent to Union Hill.

Trust me, they can do that and prolly have it there this afternoon.

Just thought about something: if its UPS Blue then they have to deliver it today. If it isn't then you can try to get it pulled Saturday - which won't help you now.
Brown screwed the pooch when they thought FedUp would give them a run for their money

Um, grovel....the brown truck just stopped by. Man are these valve covers PRETTY!!! That's the good news. The bad news is they don't seem to fit. Well, the covers do, but the coils do not. So now I get to mod all night to make this work. So much for waxing the car....

Anyone that is bored tonight & wants to come scratch heads & help me find a way to shoe-horn these in - I got LOTS of beer & Mikes.

Hey Boyce, can I borrow your coil relocation paks? (& buy a set later....)

Makes me wonder what pkg is on the truck in Seattle?

Someone has the coil pack relo kit on their car??? I would love to take a look at it when I get up there later on........I am trying to decide if it is worth the $$ since I don't show my car and just want to clean up the heavily over crowded engine compartment........plus less abuse on my knuckles, hands, wrists, forearms, etc when I change plugs wouldn't be all bad either.

Well, after working on this for an hour, I think the only viable solution that is going to get me to the show to morrow is to borrow Boyces relocation paks. So I will be headed over there shortly. After bolting one on the car, I am going to do all I can to get them installed!!!

Boyce's brackets did work either. They let the coils rub (as in SCRATCH!) the valve covers. So I think you & I need to run over to Don's & drink a case of beer & see what we can create. I have a couple ideas, and pics....we'll talk.

THANKS RICK FOR TALKING ME OUT OF FORCING IT TONIGHT!!!

They look SO pretty it was hard NOT to make it work. VERY HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd say the coil pack relocation kit from Thunder would do the trick... you could probably fab that up yourself for cheaper. Gets the coils away from the valve covers all together... then you can show them off in all their glory.
