Almost done..... I'm finally done, except for the coil pack wire harnesses. The connectors are due in tomorrow. I just hope they get here & the thing runs. I've had to fight everything every step of the way. Reminds me of installing the 427 in my brothers 57.....looks good. I'm just not sure now it was worth the effort. What a ****** PITA this 'little mod' was!!!! 
I'm glad I went & picked up the brackets from Sardog. (THANKS!) I would NEVER have gotten it done tomorrow in time to go racing. And if it doesn't run I'm burning it to the ground.
The worst part is I will have to tear it all back apart next week to put my stuff on. Much of this is Boyce's. Including 5 ot the plug wires. It was all I could do to get 3 put together. Damn LS1 boots & coils.
If I wasn't so tired, I'd post some pics. Tomorrow maybe. Good night all.

I will be waiting for you Jason. UPS shows my parts are in town & on their way. COOL!
And the fire sale is on hold Steve. I was just a little frustrated after ruining a new plug wire trying to slide the boot on far enough to be able to crimp the connector on. And my back went out at about 10:00, so that didn't help. But when doing these 'never been done before mods', it's always the easy part that kills you. Looking at the car, it sure doesn't look like a job that should have taken 16hrs to do.

Isn' that the truth. They should have a study about the stubborness of gear heads. I'd bet we are off the scale in comparison to 'normal people'!!!!
What kills me is I expected to spend hours mounting the coil packs. But then I get to the end & the friggin plug wires screw me. Whoda thunkit?

Same when I did my OTVC wires on my car! Got all the wires ran to the right spots, looks all purdy, then slipping the boots on and crimping took me honestly 20+ minutes per wire! Even with the silicone spray those things are such a bitch to get on!

Yeah, even with WD-40, trimming the end, etc etc, all I got done after 45 minutes was destroying the 1st wire. So I grabbed Boyce's set, figured out which ones were broken, and spent another hour replacing those 3. Looks like kaka.....hope it runs OK. As soon as the nice man in the brown truck gets here, I'll find out.

Funny that I spent all that money to get that hood all functional again, and now the next thing I want to do is rip it off the car. I am really hating that setup right now.
