Critique of Pacesetters and install

But installed a set of Pacesetters on a 99 today.
The good:
Seemed to be very high quality, welds looked decent, insides were smoothed out
Fit pretty damn good and placement of things such as the O2 bungs were good.
The coating looks great and held up nicely through the install against scratches and stuff.
Fits without removing spark plugs which is nice

The bad:
It seems you still need to grind the block tab on some cars (at least this one) Although just a bit where as before I think it had to be pretty much cut off.
The AIR tubes are not threaded, although when I do the 98 I'm getting rid of all that crap what a PITA
I believe the K-member needs to be clearanced a bit still as well on some cars as this one had a rattle after words and I'm guessing that is it, there wasn't alot of play.
There is no hanger from the transmission so basically the y pipe and I pipe are hanging from the Headers and the rear cat back hangers.
The TSP Y-pipe was a little messed up after talking to TSP I think I just got a bad one... It was very hard to adjust and comes in 5 pieces so if you can'g adjust it it doesn't fit too well. It was getting late and I felt bad because I sent Michael on his way with the Y-pipe not on properly and suggested he adjust it or take it to a shop to have the fitting setup so it can be adjusted easy. Again TSP is top notch and was apologetic and I'm sure if we needed to would have taken them back but timing.....
In short I still recommend the Kooks the install is much easier and it is a higher quality header, the Y-pipe fits great has a stock location hanger and great ground clearance. But if you on a budget the Pacesetter are quite nice, a suprise since I think of JC Whitney Monza exausts when I think of Pacesetter.
I thought maybe it was because I bought mine in the first batch of catted y-pipes that they made... but from the sounds of it, the one you helped install didn't fit any better.
