Default CCC Results

Well It was a good night for the bracket guys, with mark making the semi's before getting eliminated. Up untill that point he ran great. Real consistant.

Elis went home with a trophy.........................Still don't know for what he lost in the first round

Eric had some real nice runs. Pretty soon that stock vette will be runnin in the top ten.

As for me well.......It started out with a hard launch and snap, drivers side mount to the rear sway bar-11.6. But you guys know me just keeped running it and it still ran 11.2 all night.

Tried to make a nitrous run, but missed 3rd pretty hard.

Hopefully rookie will post the in car video i got sometime tonight. Alll the runs in the video are right around 11.2@122-126.

Total congrats to Mark! He was rockin' it last night, his car was dialed in.

It was fun being out there with everyone and getting some runs in. Too bad those a-hole trucks decided to move our stuff and park in my and Ellis' spots. Oh well! Oh, and Ellis and Steph, thanks again for bringing the cooler, saved me totally.

Yeah, what a hot, sticky, muggy, GREAT FUGGIN NIGHT that was Jason! Even tho my car was 2/10ths off the last time, it was a blast. MY first pass was a 12.43 @ 110. I ended up with my last 3 runs of 12.304, 12.296 & 12.305 at 111. I never put Tranzors skinnies on, but I did run my QTPs. Did I mention it was HOT!?

Breaking news - Sardog broke something....and kept racing.....AGAIN! Eric was consistent as hell. Amorget needs traction. The new guys are afraid to get their cars dirty! Ellis needs to get back into his groove. And I made it into the semis. As did Don B. I beat Brenda & Don beat her hubby. (for those that are in the know, that aint bad).

I should have made it into the finals IMO....I beat the guy in the Grand Prix, but got a wee bit too agressive on the light (-.08 red). And Don likely would have made the finals too, but he broke a rocker arm on his 1/4 final bye run. But like the great racer he is, he pulled the other rocker to that cyl & came back for more. He made a DAMN good guess for a dial in, but broke out. (14.10 on a 14.14 dial)

Oh, and I hear that trophy Ellis got was for being "The Most Obnoxious Person At The Track". It came as no surprise that he took 2nd place.....

Mark was on Fire! He just had to get that monkey off his back (Brenda) and learn that part of being the best is the intimidation factor! If it had not been for the Red light , OH SO CLOSE red light!, he would have went to the Finals.

Jason Broke his Sway bar and transmission 1st pass...and kept on racing true to form Had there been a race this weekend we may have pulled an all nighter here at the shop

Eric was slowly getting things done trying not to get his car dirty.

Douglas(sp) Was having a great time. His car is going to be nasty when the turbo instal is done

Bill was going rounds as well having a good time! Nice Silver car man!

And me? Just the usual I ran a 13.28 on a 13.20 dial playing games at the top end and lost because of my .203 light Then again after review the car was on its way to 13.1x pass so I was good there. The new lights are kicking my ***. going to have to buy a new practice tree. Heck I need to play with the one I got LOL

Steph and a few others have video of "how to do a burn out" Nitto's hot...Nitto's HOOK! 1.8xs 60Fts on street tires

I will try to remember to take my Valueum next time. Not sure why but PR is all ways a PITA!

Lets get some more of us out next time!

What the hell guys, give me some slack. In two outings now I have 13 passes. The first seven were with the car right off the freeway with a best of 12.8 at 113. Last night I had six runs but with the air pressure dropped on those T1's to 30psi. Best run was 12.8 at 113. I have over half of those runs in the high 12.8's. My thinking is if it were cooler last night I could have been sniffing at a low 12.7 easy. Oh yeah, I ain't almost in, I am in the top 10 with a dirty car too!

Sounds like you guys had fun, congrats on the great results in the CCC! And why wouldn't Jason keep running after breaking something? Wouldn't we all do that? Last year my car was spitting oil out the front crank seal enough to coat the whole bottom of the car... but as Don B said "Just wipe it up so it doesn't drip and keep going!" So that's what I did...

Slack Eric? You're in the top 10 with a stock car on street tires, and you trap as high as me & Bill & Jason...what more do you want?

It was a good night, had a blast even though I broke some things. nothing a little time and a 440 volt stick welder wont fix

Yhea i don't think the bimmer guys wanted anything to do with any one of us, personally i don't blame them. I know if i was driving the "Ultimate Driving Machine" I would hate to get beat by a redneck camaro

Well I'm thinking that my next mod will be a set of drag radials and rims. Then I might be able to break that 2.0 sec 60ft time. I did try launching once at 3k and all she did was spin. Ellis was right. Launch off idle and survive the bog. At least it is a consistent 12.8 car doing it that way.

Temps changed so much it was a pain to dial in, if I would of left my dial in alone I would have went on. I went up against Brenda B in the 2nd round and we both were 2/10ths above our dial in, I lost by about a foot.

You can borrow my Nittos Eric. I'm sure you hit mid 12s with them. The problem I see with you buying a set for regular drag racing is then it starts to make you want to upgrade the suspension, which will take a way from what that car does best, CORNER.

Traction, what's that? It was either bog or spin almost all the way through 1st. Oh well, I'll be back on Wednesday with my drag radials and see if I can't break the rear.

BTW The Autopotsy Results on Don's Motor showed a fatal valve drop...

Jim and I went over and started on it tonight to help Don out and see what happened. Number Eight intake valve had expired and was stuck half way down in the head

Time for a new bullet!
