Umm ... bless you Seriously I raced a 944 turbo when I was catback and lid only and owned him hard. This was at roughly 340 rwhp. You're going to have a hard time telling he's even racing. I don't know his technical specs, just that they aren't enough to keep him from looking stupid for trying

i would love to have a camaro party and circle his house. You know like the indians did when they wanted to scalp the people on the wagontrains. That would teach his loafer wearing butt a lesson.I hate rich snobs...Rich guys in corvette or f-body are awesome

The porcshe is light and quick, but before the race is over you should be able to eat his lunch and serve it back to him ... twice.

Been my experience that the average porche owner doesnt drive it hard enough to get the full potential out of the car. Scared to break it. That being said there are those who know how to drive them. You dont show mods but if Ellis says your at 460 then you should be able to take him, no problem. Let us know when the wagin cirlcling day is and we'll see if Bobby and I can come up for the parade..lol.. I should have my heads any day now and bobby should have his cam done by now . Our cars might be slow but they sound real mean at WOT.

You don't need a blessing, you need to whip his sorry ***. Then we'll get out the welcome wagon train and circle his place

The V8's were 928's I believe, the "Risky Business" car. Unless they came out with a new model.

I just noticed something... you said its new, like a 2005? Then it can't be a 944... it's a 911. And if that's the case, then you gotta take it a lot more seriously. And watch out for one if it says "Turbo" on the back instead of "Carrera".

The 928's are no problem, they ran 14's. I am more concerned with the kind of race you are anticipating. If the race will be from a stop and in a straight line, traction tires are going to matter tremendously. Do you have any DR's or ET Strees or the like? You need to win this race, especially because your opponent is actually taunting you. You are carrying the flag on this one. Be prepared, and get your power to the ground or it doesn't matter what the chasis dyno says. How much rubber does he have on the ground?

A new 911 Turbo ain't no joke... talking a high 11-low 12 quarter mile with a AWD launch advantage. Plus with a considerable top end... be hard to pull that one anywhere in the powerband, from a roll or from a dig.

I'd still give it a go though... Although from a dig he'd rape my car considering my non-existent traction in first on street tires.

Yeah didn't they stop making the 944 in early 90's or so? The 944 is a 4-cylinder also, and the turbo version isn't much to brag about, I think they ran lowish 15s in the 1/4.

Hell yes, gotta run this clown anyway. Any of the new Turbo Porsche's are 100K plus for the pricetag. No way in hell he'll run it hard. I bet you'll beat him or at the very least get him to shut his yapper cuz you gave him a run for his money and almost beat him.

But I'll bet you'll beat him. Make sure you don't have traction issues by heating up your tires or drag radails before you run him.

Ok, but does the driver know that? I doubt it much less tried to actually race from a drop

You'd probably still take one - most of these drivers know how to weave in traffic but thats about it!
at least up here anyway...

911 Turbo 3.6 ltr v6 24 valve = 415hp 415tq

This is your worst case scenero as a race with all the Porsche models.

Be careful playing with this guy. If he knows how to drive, that Porsche will give you an honest run for your money. If it one of the new 911 Turbos (or 911 twin turbos) be very careful.....
