Let's see here ... if I sell my '71, and then sell my WS6 ...... nope still can't do it I have a feeling that me and that car would get along GREAT though
Does anyone HONESTLY think ANY dealer is gonna let one go for MSRP or anywhere close????? Considering how most GM dealers looooooove to add that "Added Dealer Markup" or other nonsense that jumps the price by $10k or more.

$10k markup? That's the markup on a new GTO, bud... probably be a $20k markup on this one.

The $10k reference was just what I had seen so far up here on most GM's....I would bet $$ that it will be MUCH more then that for the Z06. Stupid GM dealers.
Although my new favorite "markup" is the one y'all got up here called "Location/Market Adjustment" WTF?? It costs more to buy a car here? Are they worth more here when new?

You honestly think ANY Chevy dealer is just gonna let a C6 Z06 go for MSRP or less???? No just no, but hell **** no!!!!!! Not without some deal like you know someone or something like that. And even still, some delaers/manufacturers send out mandatory bulletins regarding pricing on certain vehicles (the MBZ SL65 comes to mind).....they don't let certain cars EVER go for less then MSRP......not many, but a few here and there.
Finding them for 66k will be the interesting thing. Anyone know the production numbers? Dealer I talked to said he wouldnt even get a chance to get one, not exclusive enough.. or something like that, anyway, anyone have any info on how many are going to be built? This will determin ultimate dealer pricing. I saw the cobra "R" going for 75K, which was like 25k over msrp at the time. My guess is 72999 for base to 80,000 fully loaded.. just a wild guess

Yeah, next time those stealership bastards low ball me on a trade-in, I'm going to take their number and inflate it by 3k after apparently settling on a value with them. They'll ask "What are you doing? I thought we were going to agree on a value?" I'll say "Sure we are... I'm just making the Market Adjustment."

GM has always been all about volume......for any GM dealership to get the "hot" cars they have to sell a lot of similar types of vehicles. For example, more SS Camaros and WS6 and Firehawk Trans Ams went to the dealerships who routinely sold more of the sporty/fast cars. When the ZR1 Vette's were around, it was the same way. You had to sell a TRUCKLOAD of Vettes to get even ONE!!!!
They tried that with the GTOs in the beginning ('04) but they didn't sell for **** so they let em out to pretty much any dealership that wanted one.
