Well, with my Rottie, I made it in just over 20 hours (straight thru) including a ton of stops for him to go potty and for me to eat, get drinks, etc. My car was getting over 300 miles to a tank and it was almost 1200 miles to the nose from my folks house in Mukilteo to my place in Burbank..........so about 4-5 tanks of gas, depending. Maybe more since you have had your car "worked" on.

I usually made the trip in 2 days. The 1st time I left Burbank at 11:00 AM and stopped in Medford, OR for the night around 10:30 PM. Left around 10 the next morning and was here in time to see the second half of Monday Night Football.......if you do the 20+ hours straight theu, I HIGHLY recommend having someone with you to be a back-up driver cuz my *** got dangerously tired and there was a few times I thought I would end up a statistic.

If you need someone to ride shotgun and it is a time I can make it/am free, let me know bro.

In a totally heterosexual, manly, non-gay, straight-as-an-arrow kinda way.

Not that anyone asked for my opinion, I'll give my cent and a half anyway

I once made the drive from Lake Tahoe to Seattle in under 9 hours, going around 75 the whole way. L.A. is about an additional 6 hours, so IF you were planning on a one-segment dawn to dusk excursion you could definitely make it in less than 16 hours.
