150mph!
Just got back from a trip to visit friends in Utah. The best part of the trip was the drive. Boy, are these GTOs built for this kind of driving. My only complaint was that after about 8 hours my right leg started getting a bit stiff. You can't quite stretch it out completely like you can the left leg.
Anyhow, on I-84 in Idaho I decided to see what she could do. She got past 150 before I started running out of room and had to avoid traffic. It was great! I noticed that the car needs to be in 5th gear to get past about 140. 6th just doesn't have enough pull to get past the drag at those speeds. Even in 5th the car is working hard past about 130. She felt completely stable at top speed, which is more than I can say for my wife!
Now I'm really looking forward to Proformance School on the 2nd.

Maybe at some point in the future I'll change gears. For now, I'm happy with 6th being such a comfortable cruise gear.
BTW, Ellis, I just got my shipping confirmation on my cat-backs(only two months behind schedule) I'll PM you with more.

Sounds like a nice trip. Be careful out there at, 150mph on roads that are not closed does not leave any room for error. We don't want to lose any members.
