Default My poor car

Well guys and gals, anyone who lived on Ft lewis might remember for the past few months some *** in a silver/pewter trans am WS hauling butt everywhere and showing off his borla exhaust and such. That *** was me

I loved my car, it had a custom borla exhaust, lowering springs, high flow cats and some homemade mods as well. It was a fast son of a gun and managed to get me in trouble once or twice.

Unfourtanetly one night when my buddy was driving my car and stopped at a traffic light on the I5 madigan exit about 2weeks ago, a drunk driver in a KIA slammed into my car from behind at 40mph. The car was totaled and i had to be restrained by my buddy when i got out there so i didn't hurt dude. One of the fringe benifits of being an MP though is i knew the Traffic MP at the scene and he hooked dude up for me and WSP gave me all the forms to show douchbag was completly at fault. My insurance company is paying me off and i have a friend at Mallon Ford who actually owned the trans am and sold it me, who is hooking me up with either another TA WS6 or a c5 vette. Till then though i sit here and cry over my poor beautiful wrecked car. Here is a few pics after the accident.

Insurance AutoAuction totaled the car. They own it now and will auction it off either as a whole or in pieces. Search IAA on google to find their website. From what i heard you can usually request pieces of the car, or they sell the whole thing for very cheap. Also there is minor damage to passanger door but nothing major, just a scrath or two that will buff out most likely.

Take a close look at the driver's side. Everything behind the front quarter panel is ruined (quarter panel probably too, from the shove), the entire rear, including hatch, and the passenger side rear quarter panel as well as the roof are all complete losses. Even if there weren't frame damage, over 50% of the body is gone. It isnt so much that the cars are not worth much as the body work is very expensive.

Unlike the old cars where you could pound out, it is all replacement now. We got a quote for repair/replacement of the ground effect that I scratched on the 'vert and it was somewhere around $1500. You get charged for both the removal and the re-install.

I hope you're physically alright after that incident. Sometimes it takes a while for things to become noticible

Also hoping the ******* drunk driver gets what he deserves. I see no difference between that and shooting a pistol randomly in a crowd. That **** won't fly around me...

Sorry to see/hear about your car dude.

On a side note, if that car is a 98-00 (looks like it from the rims) then it has a high book value of maybe $10-15k or so.......my buddy's '02 Firehawk didn't look nearly that bad after his wreck and there was almost $18k in damages

All cars have high (retail), medium (private party) and low (trade-in) values........I was just guessing at the values, some will be higher and some will be much lower. Depends on the car, mileage, condition, etc....
