WAHUSKER - if you haven't yet, I'd check in at ls1gto.com - it's the #1 04 and 05 GTO site and you'll find a ton of related info.

Well, this wan't SAE, and it was hot. But from looking at the dyno chart & driving the car now it is the tune & the factory air box. I can see how moving the IAT sensor away from the radiator might help. So would moving the MAF sesnor away from the headers. But the real problem is in numbers GM wrote into the cells.

I ran a best 14.25 at the track, which is about what another 04 runs here. But my next run was 14.50, the next 14.35.....and my tires do not spin at all. Well, they didn't...they do now.

And of the 8 05 GTs I've seen at the track all but 1 have run 14s. I have only seen 1 run in the 13s....13.65 or something like that. All of the others were running mid to hi 14s. So I must have seen all the dogs. But I also saw an 05 GTO running 15s.

I'd be interested to know what track those 05 GTs were on because at PR the only 13 second GTs I've seen have been modded. That also goes for Mach 1s. Everything at PR seems to be a solid half second slower than C&D gets on their test track.

Ah ok, do you have the drf files from the dyno runs? We can look at what your SAE correction would be.

Stock 04s were running mid to low 15s in Denver, one got into the high 14s.

I ran 13.82, moddied 04, and my DA was 8,100 at the time.

I'm going to take my 04 to Renegades in two weeks and see how it runs at 1,100 feet.

I've seen different cars, I guess. I talked to the drivers and watched them go down the track time-after-time. If the owners make a bad pass, their times rise, like any car The Magazines, like dynos, are interesting to talk about. The real test is at the track.
