QTP headers are one of the best.

I like SLP. Are you thinking about long tube headers?

The best overall headers are any of the 4 Grotty design: QTP, Kooks, PPC or FLP(?). But they also cost more. I have the PPCs & love them. I hear good things about the new Edlebrocks too, but have no first hand exp with them. SLPs (the old Hooker design) are OK but they hang low if you are considering lowering your car = BAD! Pacesetters are a good "cheaper" header if your main concern is performance. They tuck nice & perform well, but the welds aren't as good IMO. (apologies to all...)

ALL can be a major PITA to install.

Another vote for QTPs and Kooks...I have QTPs and my buddy has the Kooks and we both installed both sets......not as hard as I thought it would be and definitely worth the effort AND cost.

Ditto. I have Pacesetters and they tuck up nice, and install wasn't all that bad, but when I got them in the mail one of the headers had holes in the welds on the flange! At least they have good customer support and I got a replacement in 2 days.

after having to install a set of SLP's I'd say go with the Pacesetters or others of the grotty design (kooks, QTP, etc)

QTP's are what's on my car and were not too bad to install. The welds are artwork and they tuck up very nice. Kook's and PPC's are also very nice headers. Jethot's seem to be a decent header for a more budget friendly price as are Hookers.

I've installed the Kooks and the Pacesetters, Kooks are a much better header and MUCH easier to install... The pacesetters are not bad for the money. When I do headers on the 98 though it'll be Kooks..

If your car is lowered I would avoid long tubes all together. Mine is dropped about 2 inches and I scrape over everything with a set of Mac mid-length headers.

I am only lowered 1 inch (SLP Eibachs) and my headers have never even come near scraping (QTP long tubes) it is just the rest of my true duals that scrape like a *****.

I'm lowered too, Eibach Pro-Kit and my QTP LTs are totally fine. I had to make adjustments to the catted Y-pipe though. Now it's all good.

I think so long as you stay away from the Sportline Eibachs, you should be fine.....those ones lower the car WAAAAAY low. Looks awesome but really jacks up driveability in this case.

I cannot even imagine my poor car being any lower the it is now

I have the Eibach pros but they dropped the car more like the sports. I am sure it is because of the convertible suspension set-up, though. The other day I went over a steel plate in the street and almost sheered off the bolt on the o-clamp connecting the y-pipe to the i-pipe.
