Well things on the 'Truck Motor' are going ok. Had to pull some of it back apart and new rockers are on order but all is Well

Ryan came over and Did my Poly Mounts while I worked on Brians T56. Thanks Ryan!!

We have the whole bottom end buttoned up. Once the new rockers and head gasket are here She will be ready to drop back in

Until then i need to get the damn Fuel tank out and the new Racetronix fuel system install .... Fun ....

I don't think too many people are excited to rip out the tank and lines but I do/did? want to see you install the fuel pump.

I'm not excited at all, I think they are the hardest things to do on these cars...I've helped him do a couple and they aren't fun...

When are you planning to do the Racetronix Ellis? Since I plan to put one in my car, I could use the epxerience, and you could use the help. But I'm confused - everyone says they are so "easy".

There is nothing easy about dropping the fuel tank.

I really was kidding guys. I've dropped fuel tanks to replace pumps before, so I know just how much fun they are. And I'm sure the f-bodies have some wonderful design ideas to pack all the crap into that little biddy space that make it SO much easier to work on. At least your tank should be empty by now....I think my dance card is empty for tonight if you're serious.

It is easy just cut a hole on top of tank. then build a little panel to cover it

Do you mean a hole in the body above the tank? That sounds like a great idea and allows for service too.

I always cut holes in the floor/firewall to access the bellhousing bolts and then cover them with aluminum plates. Works great and I can have an engine out in less than 2 hours working by myself.

I have heard many people cut holes for access. It's the "bucket" inside the tank you DON'T want to cut!

Did I miss it - AGAIN?!

There is just too much to get done while the weather is nice. Once John is home it won't be so hectic.

Well, considering we pulled it out Tuesday nite, I'd say you probably did miss it Amy. It's OK, it was just me, Don & Ellis sitting around drinking Mikes & swapping lies anyway. A little work got done by accident. Might have been the spiders.....

Yeah, no rush... when you got time, I'm ready for the tune. Rey first for sure, we definitely don't want him to have a coronary while itching for his tune.
