A death in the family To all that have been supportive during this time: my mom has passed away. She died at about 1:30 am this (Monday) morning.
I may be taking a short break for a few days while I get her affairs in order since I am the executor of the estate. No doing anything exciting without me.

My condolences and best wishes. Take whatever time you need man. We'll still be here when you're ready. These things are always difficult, no matter how well prepared you might have thought you were.

if you don't mind.. what was her age/cause?
the reason i ask.. is my dad has some illnesses..and is expected to have a double lung/double kidney transplant this winter.
he's only 49.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've been through that myself (dad) and if you need anything just let us know, I know how you feel. Time is the best remedy, maybe as friends we can help you make it go by faster by having more get-togethers, etc.

Sorry to hear of your loss Howard, I'll be sure to add you and yours to my thoughts and prayers. And as horrible as it is to think about it, her passing puts her in a better place and no longer feels any of the pain she has been struggling with.
