If there are cops out there egging people on to race and when they do finally get them too, then they pull them over for it. I ain't giving no more money to them ********. This isn't the first time I have heard of this happening. I heard there is a fast unmarked F-body rolling around that eggs on racing. That means I really really have to watch what I do...........And you all know how long winter is around here. That's a long time to wait to hit up the drag strip.

You are missing some of the facts of this particular incident........IF he was really a cop, he was off-duty and therefore didn't and couldn't pull anyone over, egging them on or not.

But if there are/were on-duty cops in unmarked cars "egging" people on as you put it, then anyone who gets busted, IMHO, deserves what they get for being foolish enough to street race to begin with.......again, just my opinion, not bagging on anyone or making judgement, nor am I saying that I agree or disagree with that tactic.

Exactly And even if he was on duty his actions could constitute provoking the incident. If you pulled over to let him pass and he's ghosting you, and you have to get over because a lane ends ahead and he won't let you slow down or speed up enough to get ahead or behind him. He doesn't really leave you much of a choice. It's not openly asking you to race but his actions ask you to do something drastic. which I would almost consider entrapment. Either way not all cops are like that. Like Rott said he was probably a rookie on a power trip with his new badge or someone that was a wanna be with a security badge.
