Default Sub box I'm making...

Well I've always had an interest in systems and custom stuff. I'm putting a system in a friends new Saab 92X Aero (WRX wagon turbo). I decided to build a box using some fiberglass to add some curves. It fits on the driver side against the wheel well (thats why there is that odd shape on the side).

I just put some bondo on the top and have it almost prepped for primer. I'll get some more pics as theses have just the raw fiberglass.

The speaker is a JL Audio 10W7. The damn thing weighs 30lbs!!

If anyone is interested in some work let me know.

Looks like some serious beef there. The combined weight looks like it would be tipping the scale at well over 150lbs. Your friend's Saab will probably love it.

Actually the box weighs about 25-30lbs. It's pretty small. It will probably be close to 150 by the time we have the wires run, amp for mains, amp for sub, and sub!

Those subs hit SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard it's not fair. I'm sure your friends saab will be begging for some sound deadening pretty soon. Looks good.

One suggestion, you might want to pick up some stuff called kitty hair at your local paint shop. Will make prepping that bitch for paint a whole lot easier.

Actually now that I see what that is I alreeady did. Not in those pics...but I used Bonda brand short hair body filler. They had long hair too, but it seems short hair would make a better light filler.

Nice works, that box must be bulletproof, those subs hit so hard it is almost unbelievable. Well worth the work to get a custom box that fits like a glove.
