Unhappy went to track...

Got some good weather first pass...2.24 60 foot 13.33 at 111.03 mph. Sounds good.
So now I air down the ET streets in prep for a 3 grand launch. Hit it POP the car dosen't move. I guess a good twin Disk and 12 bolt will twist the **** out of a stock Aluminum F-body driveshaft...Going to pick up the car tomorrow I rented a trailer, hopefully I didn't hurt anything else.
Man I can't catch a break...

Damn.........that sucks. I had something somewhat similar happen to me with the twin disc. Except I had my rear output shaft from my differential snap in two. Them twin discs grab like a mother ******. I got a heavy duty rear diff now. That and a carbon fiber driveshaft.........

What do you plan on replacing your broke driveshaft with? Treated steel?

haha Cory!
Well at first glance it appears that all that is shattered is my EGO and the Driveshaft.
Time will tell. Got it home and the guys at PR were pretty helpful getting it on the trailer.

Did you have a million and a half guys coming up asking you "what happened" That pissed me off when I broke at the track. Not to mention your already in a bad mood.

I found if you look at them hold the broken parts and say " I don't know, one moment I was racing and the next I was sitting"

mike, I'm sorry to hear about your drive shaft isues,
you gonna be home all day,
I'm curious what the driveshaft looks like,

did you twist it and break it in the middle, or did you blow a joint?

Yeah, but it dosen't bother me, I was showing some guys the pieces of the drive shaft and they were like, Holy **** man! Broken parts to me are just broken parts, if you can't afford to race it, don't break it.
Russ car is at petes, couldn't get the trailer up the driveway. I split in half about 1 foot from the tranny.

Mike I sent my back up shaft home to you so you could get the car moving. DO NOT hammer on it. It is ONLY a back up shaft for daily use

Should get you by till the new one gets here

Oh yeah... I bought me one of those Denny driveshafts as a preventative measure... my stocker had lasted, so far. But at any time it can go POP, just like yours did. Glad to see you're getting it taken care of!
