Quote: Where the hell in Cali were you at for that??? I lived there my whole life and not only can they not merge, but as soon as the first drop oif rain water hits the ground......everyone flips out and it becomes a free for all. I SOOOOO don't miss So Cal traffic/drivers.

Im referring to the greater L.A. area. but I have lived in Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Orangevale, San Jose, etc.

PS: I also lived in Korea for a year and driving there is just like driving here. and just think they barely got out of 3rd world country status, and people still drive homemade tractor cars down the roads there that look like a rototiller with a seat. lol

When I was in Korea (87-88) you could not even get close to Soul(sp) with out seeing at least one head on with people hanging out over the dash At least once a day. All you could do is hope it wasn't you!

No way, that is crazy, I guess seatbelts are not a priority there.

So I read this post the other day, thought "oh I know" and didn't post up

Then on the way from Silverdale going towards Port Orchard on 3 where it necks down to 1 lane(Kitsap Co people know where I'm talking) I'm in the left lane and its backed up as usuall.....the right lane doesn't have many people in it, so I slowly roll forward to open up a space in front of me to get a little room to get over without taking the bumper off the guy in front of me, watch my mirrors and let the one car in the right lane get by, then I get into the right lane. As I'm doing this, looking behind me and accelerating, the a-hole 2 cars up thinks its his job to be mister police, and he jerks his minivan out into the right lane cutting me off and nearly hitting me and proceeds to roll forward at 5 mph and keeps flow with the traffic in the left lane. At first I thought to myself, "I thought there was a lot more room ahead" and then I looked around him, and sure enough there aren't any cars for a 1/4 mile at least, F*(#er!!!! So then I kinda weave side to side like I'm going to pass him, then I just lay on the horn, for like 5 seconds....he still wouldn't get back over. About this time there were a few vehicles getting backed up behind me and one of them blows by us doing about 45 on the shoulder, and this guy still won't get over, so I lay on the horn again...still won't get over. So we're getting close to where it is actually 1 lane and there is now an opening in the left lane, so I signal, and get back into the left lane and continue to watch this guy. So when it finally becomes one lane this yahoo pulls back to the left and nearly cuts off 2 people in the process.

I'm glad for safety sake this a-hole decided to police us all, I mean he only nearly caused 4 wrecks, 1 envolving me, possibly one with the guy passing on the shoulder, and then 2 more when he tried to merge back to the left lane. Thank god for this guy cause I felt much safer.

Normally I wouldn't be such a dick about it, and lay on my horn like that, but this guy really irratated me. My wife was encouraging me to turn on my bright lights too, but I figured if there happen to be a cop around I could "possibly" get a ticket for that, but there's nothing illegal about a laying on the horn for 10 seconds straight.

PS.....I was in our little POS subaru, if I had been in the formula, I probably would have just gunned it and passed him on the shoulder too....now that I actually think about it, he probably would have hit me since I would have been on it a little more.

I just thought I'd put out a public thank you for this fellow
