What I want to know is WHY IN THE **** did I get pushed back to the beginning of '06 to get mine when I was supposed to be on the first night of delivery?! 3 days ago I got the automated call from gamestop saying "we regret to inform you that you will not recieve your XBOX 360 ntil early '06". No reason as to why just "sorry". I even was told numerous times that I was on the first shipment to get mine.

Sorry to hear that man, As far as I know, Microsoft screwed gamestop out of allot of launch units and sent them to Best Buy's for reasons unknown.

Aaahhh I remember this fun........then I learned to pre-order online and have it shipped to my house. Got my PS2 the day BEFORE they were in stores. That did not suck. 
Although this time around I decided that since I just got the original XBox in May I will wait till next year sometime before I stress over spending $400 on yet another game system. Between the PS2 & the XBox, I probably have over 25 games I have never even opened, let alone played.
I need to stop having a life and waste some serious time. 
Feel free to post up some screen shots if you can though.

My Mom got one from Sams club without even camping out, but she was lucky. She got it for my bro for xmas I told her to sell it on ebay they are going up to 2k on there and give him a best buy GC and the cash! He can wait a month for 500 bucks!~

I'm with you. IF I had gotten one last night I would have had that thing on eBay this morning.
Best Buy was the "official" carier so they got the majority of the shipments. Everyone else got the shaft. Not to mention the 3 container trucks loaded to the gunnels that went to the mojavie (sp) desert for the pre-launch party. But most places were told how many they would get but they went ahead and took pre-orders for MUCH more than that anyway.
As for me, I will wait for the first price drop before I buy mine. Besides, there are not that many good looking games for it yet IMO. I can't see paying 400 bucks for PG3, Madden, and Halo 3 (oops).

Actually Microsoft told the stores how many they were going to get then about a month before launch severly cut supply almost in half. This gives it more publicity because it sold out. I hear that the next shipment won't come until after Christmas.

. When the PS2's came out way back when, I pre-ordered mine and ended up getting it cheaper than the release price, then when I went to pick mine up, they were only available for the pre sale people (me)! Then came the e-bay crap..........I saw them going for a **** load of money, but of course it was just before christmas like the xbox 360! I was at work and posted my PS2 on the base for sale page and I got a call from a Lieutenant Colonel for $750 bucks used! 
I bought mine for $280 bucks brand new, got to play it for a month or so (not to mention there werent' many games out yet) and sold it for 3 time what I paid for it. 
Tell your mom to sell that bad boy for what she can get for it............

lol, big breasted bed thrashers!!! thats great!
Im really enjoying the new xbox, But to get the most out of it I need to get win XP media center on my pc and the dam 360 Hard drive.. Its sold out everywhere I go. other than that It puts most PC game machines to shame and that says allot for $299.
