Default Car gender

This could sound like a stupid question but why do you call your bird a "she" ?

I would think that any car with more than 300hp has ***** -- so it would be a "he".

Pretty much all cars are named after girls. You wanna ride in a dude???

Jazmine's got alittle more than 300hp and she'd take offense to being referred to as masculine. The 93 liked to be beaten, she was a sadistic bitch. The 01 bird was a needy one but she walked the walk when needed...

My cars are gender non specific. The reason being, Big Red seems to be a male sounding name, and because I don't want to be considered homophobic, I chose my own rules and decided I would stay with Big Red and have politicly correct naming rules.

My old thunderbird SC was nicknamed the Whiney Bitch lol. I've always referred to them in the female context... ex: "My other girlfriend"

Look at these cars ... the Firebirds, Camaros, Vettes, etc. Look at the body, all those curves, they are sexy like a woman, not a man! (I will say the Firebirds have a bit of a masculine look from the front ... must be the nostrils lol) Just because they have power doesnt mean they are not feminine. As others pointed out, they are prone to hissy fits, temperamental, sometimes needy, sometimes bitchy ... now, I have known some men like that in my time, but not many

I have to say I think of cars in feminine terms, but the names don't always match. I've only named two of them. My first, an orange 1976 toyota corolla, was named "The Great Pumpkin". My GTO, other than being called "the goat", is also called "Big Bird".

All you guys are funny as hell......

I named my Vette "Colette" shortly after I bought her. She has sexy curves, a bad attitude, and my wallet tells me she's high mainenance. And after my headers get put in her, she's gonna be just like a slutty Fran Drescher! Sexy yet loud and obnoxious, high maintenance, yet fast when you want her to be.

Oh yeah, and my wife know's the pecking order too.

her, the car, then me..........

Well... not that I want to ride a dude like said here but I'm with Zeke, if my car had to have a gender it would be a "he". It's a MUSCLE car. "Shes" with lots of muscles are Amazons or even worse..... well, you know what.

Mine are pretty much non-gendered... I call the Camaro "The Beast" or "BFG"... or "Money Pit".

Don't know what I'll call the 'Vette...

Non-gender here. Mine is referred to as either the "SS" or the "Camaro". Giving names to your cars is all right, but I prefer to go by what it is originally called. It is still like a family member though.

The Chevy II is nicknamed "Butch" - kinda covers both bases

The Vett is called Lucy, as in Lucile Ball - Kind of a high maintainence red head.
