H2 402 getting close to install
Oustanding Cory. I feel your pain buddy.....been there not that long ago. I'm going to be checking a head bolt here soon (I have a couple rockers making noise....had a rookie set them up....so I have to pull the valve covers) so I will let you know if you "need" to retorque the cometics after heat cycling. We checked them before we put the motor in & a couple of the long ones were a couple pounds light (the motor had sat for 2-3 weeks after the initial torque)
It will be interesting to compare our setups when we get them tweaked in. My blower will be a little smaller than your T76, but with the right pulleys it should be close enough to see what advantage each system has. Your H2 is going to be freakin scary at the track!

I don't know if it's the studs or the gaskets but I had to make 2 or 3 passes at each torque step to make sure they were all where they should be torque-wise. That was pretty wierd and has never happened to me on a regular old SBC.
I get to check them all again tonight before I install the pushrods and rockers for good.
I made my new shopping list... I think all I still need are some TR6 plugs, New coolant (most of my old coolant was under my oil in the remainder of the pan...), and 3 more torque convertor bolts. I should have them all tonight.
