My monitor is so big I have a 21" Hitachi in my garage that's being used as a table.

Don't believe me, look between my cars.

Not sure, How legible is at reading small text... Thats the true test for a "Computer Monitor". My guess is probly not.

Actually it's quite good, seen a true HD picture, that what it looks like. There is software (powerstrip) to upsize/downsize resolution to 1080i. A pc by nature has a high def out put but slightly verys from the tv, so the software fixes this slight mismatch. home theater pc's are starting to show up retail more and more. My brother and I built this one. wireless keyboard and easy chair, doesn't get much lazier than that.

Here's my point on using a HD TV as a monitor... I ran a 21" monitor for the last 7 years. I never set the resolution to less than 1280X1024. That size and that resolution produce a very crisp image for all applications. I can't see going to a screen thats > 25" at a lower resolution.

Well, now that you ask, before I left for PRI, I ordered a new 24" Wide Screen LCD... It came in yesterday. HOLY COW. 1920X1200 native resolution is just unreal! The screen is 20.5" wide by 12.75" high.

I just have a 19" monitor right now at 1280x1024. When I get a G5 tower I'll get a larger widescreen LCD monitor. Yes yes I know a mac but with all the photo and video work I do it's the better choice

Here' a link to Powerstrip software info for hooking your HD tv to your pc, and a mighty good pic, even lettering. They have some very trick front ends for interfacing everything in your HT and pc.

Actually it is composite board, cost me $39 total at Ikea. $29 for the table top, and $10 for the legs! It's pretty sturdy actually, and the monitors do weigh a ton!

That's my old monitor... I loved the hell out of it, but it arced and sparked on me one night while I was doing a radio show. Was real fun swapping out a monitor while trying not to disturb the show and still be able to keep the queue going.

I want to buy a nice flat screen, though.

Just an FX 5600 256mb. I'm not too into gaming anymore, and now the only time I upgrade is when I get hooked up on the parts.
