cooling system problems
Basically it's pushing coolant into the overflow tank, out of the radiator. I can take off the radiator cap, raise the overflow tank, and drain the overflow tank back into the radiator. At first I thought the radiator cap was to blame for this problem, but the new one seems to have no effect.
This all started awhile ago, and I replaced the water pump and thermostat.
I was thinking that there might be air in the radiator, but I keep filling it, trying to get the air out. Oh yeah, the overflow tank also bubbles when it's been running for awhile, but it's not boiling. The water is just warm (could probably stick you hand in it if you wanted).
The radiator looks good, and I'm not seeing any leaks.
The temp. gauge has also been doing some weird things. It will stay on cold (not reading anything) for a long time, and especially during city driving, yet the heater still works fine. Out on the highway it will heat up to normal temp.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks for the help
