Default guages

Can anyone help me do this. see the pics and the circled parts. I also wanted to see what guages to put in and if anyone has any of these with wires to do it.

I believe those ones in the vents are just the slightly larger 2 5/8" guages sunk into the stock air vents. The pillar pod is probably just mounted on there with plastic retainers supplied with the pod (avalible from autometer and some other companies). The a-pillar pods usually house the smaller 2 1/16" guage.

Really depends on what guages you're planning to use as to what wires need to be run where (other than the neccesary lighting power/ground).

When I swap to the 4thgen dash I'll be doing something similar.

Along the same lines, does anyone know if autometer or some other company make a bezel to go around the stock guages to house 2 1/16" size guages like some mudstains and honduhs?

I don't believe so for our cars.. I've seen them on mudstains, honduhs, and WRX's

Is there even enough room? I haven't gotten ahold of the dash I'm swapping in to see and haven't been in more than one or two 4thgens...

Doing those gauges isnt very hard at all. The toughest one is going to be the water temp if you go the mechanical route. If you use elec. its pretty damn easy just a bit time consuming.

Nope. the fbody platform has 2 things to choose from for "perfect fit" stuff. Jack and ****. you have to use pods or fab up an ABS plastic piece on your own. About the ONLY thing available are the A pillar pods for the 2 1/16th. I run a few gauges in my car but have them all mounted in cage mount pods.

There is a triple pod for on top of the dash (I can give you a p/n) and Autometer makes single, dbl & triple pods for the pillar. But other than that it's like Boyce said....especially for a Camaro that doesn't have the vents like TAs do.

I did a little write up on this forum about installing a triple pod w/elec gauges that might help you.
