And here's the difference... if I lived somewhere it was hot and sunny, I could drive my cars a lot more, they would stay looking beautiful longer, and I wouldn't have to wash them 100 times a year just so they were clean. The problem is that up here I just don't get to enjoy my cars like that... I have to get used to them being filthy dirty for extended periods of time... sometimes I can't drive them at all.

I would just like to live somewhere that summer last longer than a month.
Well, Hawaii is vastly different then where I was thinking of which is the Mojave desert (you did say hot and sunny all the time) and the Valley of L.A. which, both, average at or above 100 degrees for the majority of the summer. For me, that is not pleasant so I will take a dirty car over sweltering heat any day of the week. Just my opinion, knock yourself out if ya wanna go live somewhere that you sweat 24/7, I have no problem with that.

We all know you have no problems with sweaty men, Rott...

Now then... I also lived in Hawaii for several years, and I still have family out there. I do actually prefer the more temperate climate here in Washington, though. While I don't prefer the rain, I do like the cooler weather... I just wish we could have 50 degree weather in the winter, 70-80 degree weather in the summer, partly to mostly cloudy most days (to avoid sunburns and all), and hardly any rain.

Too bad mother nature tells me I can't have that in any place other than the Kingdome, and they blew that up...

Yeah, and when it gets cold here it's in the 30s.....that's ABOVE zero! I still remember the 'night' we stopped in Cheyenne & it got down to -25. Our car didn't start for 2 frickin days!

As much as I don't like all this rain, I will take it over some place like Florida where you start sweating immediately after you towel off after your shower......

I won't argue that SF has (IMHO) some of the best weather ever......but I prefer it cooler so that helps....BUT the cost of living ANYWHERE near there is so ridiculoius that you end up having to move 75-100 miles inland to afford it and the weather sux nuts there.

Lurv the heat and humidity, even warm downpour soaked to the skin but they don't last long, just enough to clean up the towns and roads.

If Mexico were any kind of option I'd be there (Baja Peninsula) but they stopped selling land to those them thar yankees about 4 years ago.

This rain is driving me nuts.

I'm with you. I'm sick enough of it that I've been pricing real estate out of state. I've considered moving out of Seattle before, and I'm considering it again. I just don't get to enjoy my cars up here enough... My Formula has been sitting since October because my driveway hasn't been dry since then.

Which is why its hard to move from here, we like the house and where it sits. Just not the weather its sitting in.

We have looked a couple of times or should say got almost to the point of signing then backed out. Some really good places not that far away are warmer and drier but I *do* like being close to the ocean so its Hasta la Vesta baby or nuthin.
