Well it isn't like it has been a constant downpour, 24/7, for the last 22 days........I love it, one of the reasons I moved up here. Rain rocks. And so does sitting next to that fireplace with the hot chocolate (or whatever warm beverage) with a nice woman to snuggle up in....er, I mean with.

It's times like these that make me hate living up here.

I remember back in late '98 we had a stretch where it rained non-stop for 97 days. Day 1 of the 97 was the day after I bought my '99 Trans Am.. and when it did stop raining, it stopped for about 10 hours, and then started up again and rained for another 16 days. It was driving me crazy to be driving a brand new car that was so filthy, it looked terrible.

I wouldn't mind it raining so much if it was cold enough to snow in the mountain passes, because I'd really love to go skiing... but all they're getting up there is rain, too.

One of these years I'm just going to pick up and move to where it's hot and sunny all the time.

Rain is good. That is what keeps this place so green the rest of the year. Washington only has two seasons anyway: warm rain and cold rain. And right now it's cold rain season. Besides we all know that people in Washington don't tan they rust.

Yeah it is pretty crappy... especially with the Corvette having a couple of leaky weather seals. It's too bad it has to be parked out in the driveway, but the Camaro gets to stay nice and dry in the garage, so no room for the 'Vette.

... and the correct answer is: "From the tip of the king's finger to his elbow."

and yes I did catch the reference, Bill Cosby.

I don't mind the weather, but it has kept my motorcycle in the garage since before Christmas. I don't mind the rain, I don't mind the wind, and I don't mind it getting light around 7 and dark around 4:30, however, I am not big on driving to and from work in the dark, with the rain coming down sideways...

Maybe in the Washington you live in ... but in the Washington I live in the two seasons are Real Freaking Cold and Real Freaking Hot, and the predominant color is brown!

Been there, done that, fuggin HATED it!!!!!! See, in the cold you can always put on more clothes but in the heat, you can only strip down so far, and then you are still miserably hot. Nothing worse then not wanting to run errands, go outside, do ANYTHING because the heat has sapped your energy and strength....it really makes you hate being outside. Breaking a sweat the instant you walk out the door.....having the leather seats in your car get so hot that you actually get a burn from them (steering wheel too) and those windshield shades only help a lil bit IF the sun is coming directly in from the front......I could go on but you get the point.

I lived in Hawaii for 5 years. It was 85-90 degrees and not a cloud in the sky almost every day of the week, 365 days a year. I'm the guy that went hiking 15 miles through Arches National Park when it was 110 degrees out. I know how I can handle the heat, and I prefer it to the cold.

And here's the difference... if I lived somewhere it was hot and sunny, I could drive my cars a lot more, they would stay looking beautiful longer, and I wouldn't have to wash them 100 times a year just so they were clean. The problem is that up here I just don't get to enjoy my cars like that... I have to get used to them being filthy dirty for extended periods of time... sometimes I can't drive them at all.

I would just like to live somewhere that summer last longer than a month.
