Question for Ellis and Mark?
Question for Ellis and Mark? What's the difference between these two Spring Kits? They look the same, but have different prices. Ellis were these the ones you said to go with?

My guess would be a problem with LM's website. Both have the same part number PP8401 but one description is written better than the other one. I would go with the one thats cheaper. Better description of parts and less money..lol And if you notice the vette one is more money.. Damn vettes always cost more!! lol

Careful ordering stuff that has the same part number but is for diff cars......I did that with a 160 thermo (that I am still trying to find for someone on this board) and they sent me the one for a C5/'04 Goat..........totally different piece even though on THEIR website, it was listed with the same part #.....in reality, the part number is diff and so is the part.
Now I thought that Vette's had totally different suspension components then the F-Bodies did? Is this not true? I didn't think the springs would be interchangeable.......

I don't have the P/N on hand, but I am running the Patriot Gold dual springs with the Ti retainers & locks. Should be the same for a Vette and an F-body since they have the same motor. Like I said Thursday, as long as MTI says they'll fit your heads. There are spring pockets sizes & valve heights to consider. Wait for Ellis to chime in.....

I have had NO experiance with that kit so I can not really comment on them
I am an animal of habit when it comes to valve springs. they make or break your entire combination. I have been using the same brand of springs on LTx cars for years and they have never let me down.
I like the Manelt's but recently heard a report of them failing. I have not had it happen but they are a singal spring. I will still have no problems using them on cam's up to or around .550 but any thing over that I will use the 'Golds' unless I find some thing better.
BTW the 'Golds' come with valve seals and every thing to install them
