Default Sold the Z06...

So after I make a big long post all proud of myself and the choice to keep my baby and have a new actual baby I got an offer that I couldn't really pass up. I didn't advertise it or anything just got a decent offer and decided that I could always pick up another one probably for less than I sold mine.

So I'm going to build up the 98 vert a little bit the old lady gave me the thumbs up on a roll bar and nitrous and she knows headers. cam, and heads are going to follow soon. I'm going to leave it auto and trust Ellis to work his magic maybe I can finally get that ever allusive 11 sec time slip I don't want to go to crazy with the car as I would like to pick up another Z06 (the wife won't let me get a regular C5 ) Trailblazer SS or maybe even wait a little while longer and get a 09 Camaro if it comes out. We'll see.

Bought the old lady a 98 328i with low miles and loaded, had to buy her some chrome M3 wheels, tint the windows, and some other little stuff but she's driving that every day so I'm going to try and follow in Marks footsteps!

Bobby

So you finally spill the beans....after how many days?

I suggest putting a 9" in your plans somewhere Bobby, or at least a 12 bolt. A cam, heads, & stall should get you into the 11s. Juice could securely put you into the top 10 for the year. (11.5 or better?)

Hopefully pretty soon, I need get some of the parts together, I guess I could install the N2O and converter, if the tranny goes I could just tow it to Ellis's and take the greyhound home

Hey sorry to see you car go. It was a sweet looking ride. I'm sure you felt a twinge too huh ?! At least you have a plan in place to satisfy your need for speed. One day I'll have a Z06 in my garage, but it'll be in the garage of my new house ! My wife promised

It hurt quite a bit, I went to a dealership in 01 and sat in a red\black Z06 just like mine and it was goal right there, and thought if all is good in the world I would own one. Well I did, I guess I should consider myself fortunate that it was my third vette and that I have the means to buy another(barely ). The wife is pretty supportive so if everything goes good with the kid I'll pick up another. I doubt I would have driven it much anyways, I think I'll get a more used one next time, I didn't even like rain getting on that thing.

All that said the F-body is a great car coming from owning the vette they are both nice cars just different. Only problem is most have what I've done to the vert so far was for the wife....so now I have to try and change some things I would love to get rid of the ground effects but I don't think that is going to happen. They look good but I'd rather drop it more stuff like that.

All right I will really hijack Bobby's thread and spill some beans!

As some of you know I am a father. My son's name is Brady Michael MacDonald. Brady will be 6 months on the 9th. If I can figure out how you guys post pics in threads here I will post a pic or two.

Anyhow he has been taking up the majority of my time now.

This is the reason I sent Bobby the PM and the reason why I will tell you all this now.

I am selling my 12.0 sec 95 Z28. Some of you know this car some of you newer people dont. Those who do know this car will vouch for it. It is a heads and cam LT1. Stock ported heads w/ a comp cams XE230/236 on a 112, 1.6 roller rockers, meziere electric water pump, Hooker long tube headers, BBK throttle body, etc. etc.

I have a TH400 reverse manual valve body transbrake with a 4200 stall torque converter transmission in it now. This car should be good for high 11's with this set up. It went 12.03 113.6 with a 2880 stalled 4l60E at Bremerton.

Also included with the car is an SLP stg 4 vacuumn modulated 4L60E transmission, NX 5177 nitrous kit used but never installed on this car, a set of Hoosier 27x11.50x15 QTP's mounted on draglites with Hoosier front runners mounted on draglites, LT1 edit program VIN specific for this car.

This car is not a daily driver never has been for me, I garage it in the winter it is still in the garage should come out mid/end of March.

$8500.00 probably have about $20,000.00 into it all told.

Since Brady was born my priorities have changed. if I kept the car I would just be dumping more money into it as I had plans for a different motor and other things.

My main goal now is investments and buying another BIGGER house within 5 years.

So that is basically the small pile of beans I have out here.

Still lurking

Ken

Damn Ken! That is abotu a 55 gallon barrel of beans! Congrats and I hope all is going well!

Kens car is top notch and a great buy for what he is asking. Every thing was done Right and it sports an SSEFI TH400 we will stand behind for the rest of the year if sold to some one here.

Sorry to see you sell her Ken BUT I completely under stand why. there is always another day
