He did it himself. He tried to explain it to me back when he did it, but I am far to stupid to comprehend his computer guy smart talk. Something about a crank sensor here and a re-pin there.

I made the decision. Deltec. I just got some PayPal back from a con on e-bay.(Pay Pal is not that bad ) and did a quick search and found a complete NIB Norstar coil system for $134. Cut's $200 off the cost of the Delteq so they win out with a Radiator mount system

Will be a few weeks but I will be back up with a new ignition System and hope fully all new wiring for the Happy button!

i remember when my car would do the same thing (kind of buck and then end up dying without restarting)

turned out to be a corroded wire for the coil

kept shorting out and losing contact. happened more often in the rain due to large puddles and water splashing upwards

Congrats!! That should end the nightmare for you. I've heard and read a lot of bad things about that opti-spark going bad and driving people nuts

Norstar/Aurora Coil Pack $139.99
Delteq System Rad. Mount $361.97
New Plug Wire set $44.25
Optional Cover to replace Cap $96.47
------
Total in parts $642.68
Savings so far $148.52

I am still trying to find a MSD DIS-4 box at a good price to go with the system. I will update when I find one. I am bidding on one but not to hopeful about if I will get it or what the price will be. New is $432 from Summit or Jegs and $375 new off E-bay
