Teh Metro will make a return
Pulled the tranny and the engine still wouldn't turn over (wrench on crank). Early indications were looking at it being a spun bearing.
The throw out bearing and retainer did split though although that was the only known damage down the driveline. I'm going to replace the 10 spline input shaft with a 26, along with a Centerforce clutch and Fidanza flyweel.
So ... with these parts removed the engine still wouldn't turn over and I'm shitting a brick over the phone. I asked to have the belt around the supercharger pulled ... sure enough when that's removed the engine turns freely!
The supercharger siezed up and you know what that means ...
WHIPPLE TIME.
600+rwhp? Yes, thank you.
Going to get setup with the bank tomorrow to get some of the parts purchased and should have a 10 second car here within a month. If not, a low 11 second car with a really high trap speed.

The supporting mods are already there ... 60lb injectors, boost a pump, etc.
Now it's just time to shell out the cash and work a little more overtime then expected.
Git'r done.

Whipple schmipple, turbo that BIOTCH. Oh and btw, Im glad your motor is fine. I was freakin out a bit after reading that first sentence. Failures in those engines are not too common.
