Only Ellis, RC & myself were in attendance. We hashed over a few ideas. After the CCC officers talk them over on the CCCA website, I will post the outcome. I expect a few minor tweaks to the rules this year, and maybe a few changes for next year. Stay tuned....

When do you guys take into consideration new/ammended rules? I would really like to see motorcycle be allowed to race in CCC.

I think the problem with that is, you can't race a Motorcycle against a car down the track... I think that's why it's named "Car" Club Challenge... Hey, maybe you can start a Cycle Club challenge?

I could borrow my buddy's bike. That would make 3 of us -- I'll take the bi-run!

That isn't true anymore. NHRA made the change a couple years ago apparently. My first bracket race at Mission I raced a bike.

Like I said on the CCC board, the purpose of CCC is to get races off of the streets... I think including motorcycles is a way of furthering that objective.

Edit: This was posted by GTPBoost on the CCC website:

"For a few years there bikes and cars were not allowed to race at the same time on the track. Since it didn't really concern me since I haven't had a bike to race in quite a few years I never bothered to find out if it was insurance concerns or NHRA that was the deciding factor in this. Last year I noticed bikes being allowed into the cash bash/gamblers races with the cars and commented on that with Russell and he said it was allowed again by NHRA if I recall correctly. "

Well, then I don't see any reason you shouldn't be able to run...People run trucks and mini vans..why not bikes?

One time when I was doing T&T, I was in the slicks lane and I got lined up with one of those drag bikes... yeah, that was fun. I think I maybe got to the 1/8th mile before his times came up on the board.

Run your dial, hit the tree hard and a bike is just another vehicle with an engine, but I don't like it. CAR club challenge.

Imagine if it was that dude that was running 6's at over 200 mph.

I agree, though... CAR club challenge.

Bike would be under the same rules, DOT tires and can't run faster then 10s. Why do you think the rules would be any different?

I think it would be bad to be going down the track and have the bike wreck or something and I run him over...That would be why I wouldn't want bikes against Cars....but then I'm not the one racing so I have no say in it...
