OK did the swap today and the difference was instantaneous. I could actually let my foot off the clutch in reverse. Something I've not been able to do since I did the cam and headers. It does add a little more vibe similar to when we put the poly motor mount in. Doesnt seem to be to bad though but I didnt take a long cruise either. My old one was haggered looking and had some tears that you could see when you flexed it while it was mounted.
I didnt do the mod to it as per Ellis suggestion. I measured it all up and sure enough with the bumps and the plate they give you its the same thickness. The bumps actually compress to where they dont protrude once you've torqued it all down to specs.
Feels like a different clutch now as well. I'm not sure but I think it slips just a tad before it grabs again. Almost feels like its two stages. Semi grab then hard grab, not sure I only drove it a half mile. I'll take it to the track tomorrow and see if I can improve. I still missed 3rd gear today though, not sure whats up with that. Clutch issue maybe? Dont know might take a little practice now that the trans isnt moving around. Have to learn how to hit the gears all over again

Are you missing third or are you hitting the gate?

Not sure I only tried to quick shift it once so I dont know. I usually just stab the clutch and shove hard fast and quick with the heel of the palm in and upward motion and it goes right in. Rejection when I tried it this time. I had trouble at the track last time but that was with the spongy trans mount. Is it possible to wear the clutch excessively or unevenly or something with the mount being the way it was? I need to drive it more and see what really up with it. Cant get to the track tonight now, grrrrr wife grrrrr, so I'm not gonna get new times for 2 weeks now.

Excuse my non technical jargon I'm not sure if these the right terms. On some t56's more than others it will catch on the 2-3 gate. You can do it on purpose sit in your car with the engine off and you can find that little spot where it won't go into 1st or 3rd just sticks. On some of the cars most notably the 01 WS6 it would hit that all the time during spirited driving. Had the tranny rebuilt twice under warranty even when I told the guy its this little hook looking piece causing it they really never fixed it completely.

If you are hitting this then practice going a little to the right when shifting into third instead of straight up. I got used to it and it didn't bother me as much.

Just my experience take it for what its worth, you may be just mistiming your shifts and not making it into gear, I've been known to do that on occasion as well

I don't see how with the forces present in the clutch a worn shift mount could be causing an issue. You sure it isn't just wheel spin? Nittos are pretty damn quiet when they let loose not all the squealing you get with other tires. It would feel alot like the clutch slipping because you wouldn't hear the tires plus they don't get squierlly like other tires so it could be spinning in straight line. The tires you run are never going to stick with your power

This is exactly what I have recently experienced. Thumbs up for the motor mounts but combined with the poly tranny mount =

Good luck

Might have been the issue I was excited to have a new feel and had just done a nice drift from a stop into a right hand turn. Slammed second and straightened it and went for third when I was rejected
Seemed to be ok today but I can definately here some pinging going on and its worse with the ac on. Car seems to not like warm or hot weather. Need to get it to Toms to see whats up but he's been too busy. Cant get to the track tonight now anyway and the next chance I'll get to run is in 2 weeks so maybe by then he can look at it.
