Question for those that did the !wire mod..
1.) There's one small wire bundle that goes down into the engine compartment... I can't see where it ends.. know where it goes?
2.) How big of a hole did you cut in the fender?
3.) What did you use to cut it?
4.) Did you treat the fender with anything to keep it from rusting?
5.) How did you stick everything up under the inner fender?
6.) Did you do anything to protect the wiring from moisture? If so, what?
I cut a whole just big enough so the connectors could fit through them (don't remember size). I used a hole saw with a drill to do it. I didn't worry about the rust. I originally wanted to get a rubber grommet to go around it but couldn't find one easily, and then forgot about it. No moisture protection. Really it shouldn't see any more moisture than when its under the hood. I think I basically just put the wires through the holes, and let them lay however.
Really once I did the mod I haven't given it any more thought and have had no problems with it.
Maybe you should just buy a formula with this mod already done

You didn't stick the wiring under the inner fender? Where did you put it?
I made a alum bar to hold them up and bolted it on there.

I used a hole saw with a pilot bit
Painted the cut
Could not find a gromment, shopped before I started wound up slicing black fuel line down the middle and made a gromment
Tape the lines all up and held them in place with velco between the inner and outer fenders
Found plugs for the holes in the fender at Lowes secured them with a dab of silicone
Also relocated all the ground wires and replaced them with polished bolts.
I believe there is a How to sticky with photos in the Appearance section

I checked it out, that's pretty much what I was looking for... I like the velcro idea... I'm gonna wrap the wire bundle in plastic tubing with zip ties to keep the water out, too... I've already got the wires all disconnected, just need to drill the hole and route the wiring correctly.

FYI Zeke, I wasn't bagging on you, just wanted you to know it IS there and sometimes it is easy to overlook stuff when you are focused on other things or too hard on one thing.........

My engine compartment is a little beat up and stained, though... I might have to figure out a way to repaint it.I ended up not doing the wire loom... It was like $140 to buy enough stuff to do the whole underhood area.
