Default where to find a cheap LT1 T56

I live in Tacoma, and need a LT1 T56 for my sbc s10 project, but have no idea to where to get one for a reasonable price. All the car-part.com listings are around 1300+ and craigslist turns up nothing. Could someone help me out with what listings to look at, or where i could go to find one, or maybe even if you know of someone with a t56 they want to sell?

also, what is a reasonable price to pay for a lt1 t56 w/ bellhousing, clutch, flywheel, master, and slave? 600-900$? does that sound right?

thanks
jerome

1300 is about right for the auto-to-T56 conversions which include everything, even the pedal assy. I got 1200 for mine about 4 months ago. They show up on this board and others every once in awhile if you're patient enough.

If you have some mechanical ability, you can find broken ones for dirt (500 or so) and then fix it yourself and save some coin that way.

Good luck.

I might be able to get you a used one. You do mean the 6 speed T/A one right? Im not too car smart, but it has the bell housing, clutch, flywheel, shifter and all that fully assembled with little to no fluid in it. Let me know. PM.
