Default 11.22@124mph

Well I was so excited when I got to the track that my first run I forgot to take the tools out of the car and I forgot to lower the tire pressure.

My first run out was with 100hp jets. I cut a horible 60ft time but managed an all time best of 11.63@121mph w/ 1.869 60ft time.

Well the run went well and I was excited about getting my best time. Mark, Linda, Robert, My wife and few others were there to congratulate me. It was pretty cool feeling. So I let the car cool down and figured I'd go for broke.

I swapped the jets out for 150hp jets and warmed the bottle up to 1050psi.

My second run I still forgot to lower the tire pressure. I went 11.38@122.5mph w/ 1.814 60ft time.

So as I came around to get my time slip, the lady was standing out of the booth and as I pull up she kneels down to my level. Pointing at the time slip and peeking in the car, she says"you need to be careful. You aren't legal to run these times" I replied neively "I didn't know it was going to go that fast" She replied "the tower didn't say anything so neither are we. Keep running!"

I came back to where Mark was parked and told the story to everyone. I was so surprised. Well it was on after that!!!!

I came around for my third pass still with the 150hp jets and realized my tire pressure wasn't lowered. I lower it to 16psi. This run nets my best. 11.22 at 124mph with 1.855 60ft time.

Mark, Cindy and another couple out there got it on film. My copy was taken with a shitty digital camera. Unfortunately the mpeg my wife took is 2.56MB and won't fit in the attachment. 2.0MB is the max But I just wathced it and its way to small. Its a real bad copy! You can't see anything. I need to get a cam corder bad! Anyways.......

My fourth and final run I cut my best 60 ft time, a 1.77. But my dumb *** missed the 1-2 shift grinding second and still managed to get 12.0 at 121mph.

I am so excited! With some good traction I should be able to get into the 10's. And with a race fuel mix combined with my 200hp jets............I may see deep 10's. Not as deep as Ellis but good enough for me!

Congrats again, moved up on the list also. Wasn't that the run (11.22) that you killed that beater vette that could only pull a 14.xx?

There is no such thing as a beater Vette. All vette are not created equal though.

Thanks Robert! Now to work on Wolfe Racing.

Congrats on the times, Jon! That's awesome!

And hey, what's with the "beater Vette running 14.xx?" My Vette runs 14s, nothing wrong with not having to wear a helmet... hell, I can sip my beverage while I go down the track that way!

Congrats again Jon! Wish I could upload vids, I got both of your "illegal runs" on tape. Although in the 2nd run that other Vette was so slow it wasn't in the video after the start.

Congrats on the passes, excellent times What mods are done as far as your fuel system and engine go? ( I am curious because you are kind of in the same boat as me as far as ETs... Last time I ran a 11.9x@128 w/2.0 60' NA, had traction, trans, and 'verter issues )

Hopefully with it fixed I can pull some mid 11's NA now she also has wet shot on it.
